Role Purpose
We are seeking skilled and reliable Battery Team Members to join Huawei’s MTN, Telkom, and Vodacom project in South Africa. This role is vital in ensuring the installation, maintenance, and optimization of telecom site power systems, with a focus on battery solutions to guarantee uninterrupted network performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain battery systems at telecom sites.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare installation/maintenance reports.
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of battery equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Huawei’s technical standards, safety protocols, and client requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to meet project deadlines.
- Provide technical support and feedback to improve site power reliability.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and replacements.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience in battery installation and maintenance, preferably in telecom or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of DC power systems, battery technologies, and site integration processes.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa for site work.
- Valid driver’s license is essential.
