Role Purpose
We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel and gas-powered generators, ensuring reliable performance and minimal downtime for our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in generators.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of generator systems.
- Service new generator units on site.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site support.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Generator Technician, Mechanic, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Relevant trade qualification or certification (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Electrical Technician).
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
