Role Purpose
CJA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Beater to join their team at the South Africa Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to the highest standards, ensuring CJA’s fleet remains in excellent condition and ready for operational needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods.
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels and body parts.
- Straighten chassis and frames using specialized equipment.
- Weld, grind, and fill damaged areas to restore vehicle structure.
- Prepare vehicles for painting by smoothing and finishing repaired surfaces.
- Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment.
Required Experience
- Relevant trade qualification or certification in panel beating.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in panel beating or auto body repair.
- Strong knowledge of welding, metalwork, and body repair techniques.
- Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high-quality workmanship.
