Role Purpose
We are seeking experienced and motivated RNO Team Members to join Huawei’s Radio Network Optimization (RNO) project in South Africa. This role is critical in ensuring optimal performance of telecom networks through analysis, testing, and continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform radio network optimization activities for Huawei’s RNO project.
- Conduct drive tests and analyse KPIs to evaluate network performance.
- Identify coverage, capacity, and quality issues, and recommend optimization solutions.
- Work with planning and engineering teams to implement improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports on network performance, optimization activities, and results.
- Ensure compliance with Huawei’s standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with MTN and Telkom teams to support seamless project delivery.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field.
- Level 1 abseiler
- Level 2 abseiler ( Fall Arrest Level 2 )
- Preferred experience and knowledge of Huawei ISDP Platform
- Must have specialized tool experience for 3z and Smart aligners and proven knowledge
- Proven experience in radio network optimization (2G/3G/4G/5G).
- Proficiency in optimization tools (e.g., TEMS, Nemo, Atoll, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of KPIs, parameters, and network performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa for field activities.
